Our Operations

North American Operations

Rocky Mountain Region

With a presence in Denver Colorado, Diversified Well Logging is well positioned to provide services throughout the Niobrara as operators move to increase their understanding of the region's geology and focus on premium locations.  We are currently working with Northwoods Energy and Jonah Energy in Wyoming.

Appalachian Region

In the Appalachian Region, our two main plays are the Marcellus and Utica shales. Working with partners like Tug Hill, CNX and many others, we’ve logged a large section of southwestern Ohio, northwestern West Virginia, and southwestern Pennsylvania. Our team of loggers has greatly improved our clientele’s understanding of the basin they’re developing, which has increased both productivity and operating margins throughout the region.

West Texas Region

Driven by the Permian boom, this is currently our largest operational area with headquarters in Odessa. Diversified brings its expertise and experience to the Midland and Delaware basins. In the Midland basin we principally log the Spraberry Trend area. In the Delaware Basin we primarily log the Wolfcamp. We also have a great deal of experience logging the Bone Springs of Southern New Mexico and the San Andres of the Northern Delaware Basin. Major clients include Parsley, Diamondback, Pioneer, Petrolegacy, Pearl Oil and Gas, Centennial, Halcon, and Apache to name a few.

South Texas Region

Our South Texas operations are run from our base in Corpus Christi. The South Texas region covers the large area starting around Cuero, Texas to the Laredo Border, and stretching 100 miles in every direction. The Eagle Ford shale and the Austin Chalk are the main target formations for our clients - clients that include EOG, Endeavor, Equinor, EP Energy, Murphy, Marathon, Rosewood, 1776 Energy and many others.  Diversified's experience and our expert mud loggers help make us a leader in the region.

Gulf of Mexico

Since the 2010 deep water drilling moratorium, the Gulf Coast Division has successfully installed and commissioned mudlogging units in overseas shipyards, and while rigs were underway to the Gulf. Our clients were Shell Offshore, LLOG, FMOG, and Hess, all projects were 100% successful. The Gulf Coast Division also logged ultra-deep shelf/land wells in Cameron Parish for Chevron and Freeport-McMoRan. DWL has also been introducing new technologies such as the CV/CT systems and XRF/XRD. As a point of interest. DWL logged the first well drilled after the moratorium for LLOG approximately 300 feet from the wellhead at Macondo.

Diversified's long history started in the Gulf of Mexico, where the company has operated for decades. Our expertise now extends to the majority of North America's major unconventional basins.

Our operational bases are

  • Reserve, Louisiana
  • Odessa Midland, Texas
