Classic Mudlogging
Classic Mudlogging
The mud logging service is by far the oldest formation evaluation service still in use today by the oil and gas industry. Before downhole tools and even the earliest wireline tools, oil companies relied on cuttings and gas information acquired at surface. As one of the oldest companies delivering surface data, Diversified is proud of the classic mud logging service it still offers and proud that our clients still rely on us for the reliable cuttings and gas data they need.
Classic Well Logging from Diversified

Onshore
In the modern land environment, clients need a straightforward service that can be easily mobilized, demobilized, and mobilized again as rigs are moved quickly from location to location. All of Diversified’s cabins are climate controlled, wheel mounted, and designed to accommodate all of the equipment necessary to successfully perform the required services. A crew of two will catch samples unless additional sample-catchers are needed when drilling rates are very high, or a higher sample rate is required. Gas systems are generally hotwire or FID systems. All other drilling parameters are taken from third party rig systems such as PASON.
Offshore
Offshore drilling has always been more demanding for operators and for the service companies, but this is the environment where Diversified began operations and is uniquely positioned to deliver its decades of experience to clients. All of our offshore cabins and equipment are built and maintained to meet MMS and DNV requirements. To reduce the human footprint on board our crews generally consist of two people with additional people sent when required by the drilling program. All data is streamed to the client office or to Diversified’s remote center where the well is monitored for added security.
Remote Sample Collection
For remote cuttings collection, Diversified has RoboLogger™️.
Our automated system is the oil and gas industry's only fully automated cuttings collection device.
RoboLogger™️ automatically collects, washes, photographs, wraps, and stores up to 350 samples on a removable reel at a rate of 2 minutes per sample. RoboLogger™️ is controlled remotely and samples may be viewed remotely on the clients computer under white or ultra-violet light.
RoboLogger™️ allows us to address the challenge of clients needing more data and the challenge of cost control. Data density and quality is proven to be excellent and the cost allows it to be run economically on every well. With RoboLogger™️ the human footprint is also reduced along with associated HSE risks.
